**I walk through the village and notice that everyone is starting to get ready for fall. Summer decor is being taken down, getting replaced by leaves and shades of maroon. I take a look in shop windows and see the fall outfits being put together, and once I get to the bookshop I see their recommended fall titles. Huh. Maybe I should think about what I want to read for fall. It will get colder soon.**

Welcome or welcome back to bookishcore! For today, I wanted to discuss my September TBR. With fall coming up, I would like to do a post with fall recommendations and maybe another for books I want to read in fall. Before all that though, we need to get into my September TBR.

The Books πŸ“š

The first book on my September TBR is the book I am currently reading, if I don’t finish it by tomorrow that is, which is Opposition by Jennifer L. Armentrout. I have been reading through this series this year after reading the first one last year and I have really been enjoying it. It’s a ya series about aliens and is very entertaining. I’m sad to be almost done, but I can’t wait to see how it wraps up.

The next book I would like to get to in September is The Voyage of the Dawn Treader by C.S.Lewis. The Narnia series is another series that I have been making my way through recently. I have been enjoying this magical series and look forward to this one since it follows the Pevensie kids, which always end up being my favorites. I would like to finish this series this year, so I am hoping to read one each month until I finish.

When I say that I am going to read this, I mean that seriously. That book is The Rosewood Hunt by Mackenzie Reed . . . I can’t keep putting this on TBRs and not reading it. It’s about a girl inheriting money from a rich grandmother and needing to solve riddles. It sounds like a great idea, especially after I loved The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes, so I have no reasons for not getting to this. I will do it!

My next pick is Storm by Brigid Kemmerer. I actually read a few pages of it before realizing I wasn’t in the mood and put it down. I would like to get to it next month and get through more of her books. This is a series following a group of brothers with elemental powers. It kind of reminds me of the Lux series in a way, with a mix of Avatar: The Last Airbender with the elemental abilities. I love Brigid Kemmerer so I am intrigued about her first book.

For my final pick, I think I want to go with Funny Story by Emily Henry. I think this one is about a woman who gets broken up with and ends up dating her ex-fiancee’s new girlfriend’s ex. This seems like a September book to me for some reason, so I hope to get into it this month.

There are a few others I think may be good for September, such as Starfall by Melissa Landers, and The Grandest Game by Jennifer Lynn Barnes, but I usually like to stick to only five books since I usually don’t read more that that. Hopefully I will be able to get to some of these books in the upcoming month. If not, there is always my October TBR πŸ™‚

xoxo,
