**The last day of the month always means one thing: a wrap-up. I grab my books from my room and carry them to the floor before my shelves. I flip through each one, reminiscing about the small wonders of each book, carefully re-reading the parts I bookmarked to relive those moments. I sit like that for a while before I finally place each book into its new home.**

Welcome back to another monthly wrap-up. I always like to do these TBRs and wrap-ups to keep track of all the books I read each month. I enjoy seeing these types of videos so I like to get to share my own. I read four books in the month of February as well as one novella that I did count, so five total. Let’s get into them.

The first book I finished in February was The Silver Chair by C.S. Lewis. I am so close to finishing this series now with only one book left. I don’t really want to get into this one because it is book six in the series, but I did enjoy it. When I first started, I didn’t enjoy it that much and couldn’t get invested, but by the time I finished, I really liked it. This is actually my most tabbed Narnia book because there were so many funny moments, especially with the character Puddleglum.

The next book I finished in February was The Match by Sarah Adams. This is one I’ve wanted to read for quite a while, so I am glad that I finally read it this month. This book follows 26 year-old Evie Jones who works with service dogs and is working to find one for Jacob Broadan’s daughter. They start off on the wrong foot but eventually warm up to each other. I really liked this book. I had a lot of tabbed moments, from things that made me laugh to those sweet moments between characters. I also really enjoyed a lot of the relationships in this book, and I actually learned a bit about service dogs. If you want some more of my thoughts on this one, you should check out my review for it.

Next up, we have Swap’d by Tamara Ireland Stone. This one was actually a buddy read that we started at the very end of January. This is the sequel to Click’d, which I read last year and really enjoyed. This is a middle-grade duology about a girl named Allie who codes and makes apps for her computer science class. This is a great series about coding, friendship, perseverance, problem solving, and enjoying your hobbies. I recommend checking this series out if you are interested in reading a good middle-grade.

This next one is actually a book I just finished yesterday, which is Storm by Brigid Kemmerer. This is a young adult fantasy following a girl who meets a group of brothers with elemental powers who are in danger because of what they are. Becca, our main character, gets wrapped up in this after saving the youngest brother and learns more about their powers and who they are. I wasn’t really enjoying this one at first. I picked it up the other month, made it about 30 pages in, then put it down for a bit. I decided to pick it up again because it was intriguing me and I did finish. I think that the story was interesting, but I didn’t really love any of the characters and nothing was fully grabbing my attention. I also feel like not all that much happened. For a family who is supposed to be in danger, it didn’t always feel like that, and instead felt like Becca dealing with her own things and the brothers arguing with each other. I also feel like the ending didn’t feel complete. It wasn’t rushed per se, but it felt like a lot of things didn’t really wrap-up or resolve. This is the first book in a five book series, so I am intrigued to see if anything will get brought up again. I will say that it’s interesting to go back and read Brigid Kemmerer’s first book after reading her books for several years now, and you can really tell how much she has grown as a writer. Did I love this? I mean, it was fine but I didn’t absolutely love it or anything. Would I recommend it? Yeah, sure. It’s a Brigid Kemmerer, so it’s always a safe bet, but it is probably my least favorite by her.

In my copy of Storm, it also comes with the novella Elemental, which follows the oldest brother. This was a short, 40 page novella that dives into a bit of his backstory and some things that get discussed in Storm. Oddly enough, I think I may have enjoyed this more than Storm. I usually don’t like novellas much and, while this wasn’t the best still, I am glad I decided to read it.

That wraps up my February reads. Check out my bingo board for the prompts I completed this month! Anything with an X over it means that I previously completed the prompt, while the pink-colored ones are for prompts I completed in the current month. Try and figure out which books fit each prompt.

xoxo,
