**The sun is beating down on me so I take shelter as soon as I get to the library to get out of the sun, though the inside is warm as well. A bit outside of towne, a small library sits by itself with picnic benches out front and a large grassy field. I browse the sections and pick a few books off the shelves. I leave with my books and take the walk back home.**

I finally made my way over to the library this past weekend! I did go once at the beginning of the year but I usually take my library trips over the summer instead. The main reason I made this trip was because there was a blind date with a book going on and I wanted to check out what they had. While I was there though there was a book I wanted to check out.

I ended up checking out The Wicked King and The Queen of Nothing by Holly Black. I read The Cruel Prince two or three years ago and thought it was just okay. It wasn’t really what I was expecting going into it but I wanted to try book 2 because book 1 felt like the start for the rest of the series so I wanted to give it a chance.

After I checked out, I decided to go over to the blind date with a book display. I liked that they had all age ranges on the table instead of just one. I opened it a few hours later since I was out for a little while and I ended up getting Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs. The photos in this kind of terrify me, so I may not end up reading this one. Even if I don’t love what I get in blind dates with books, I still think it’s fun to be surprised and I got to support my local library.
