**I fan myself with one of my books as I take a look at the stack on my table. A vase of flowers rests beside it, the whites and pinks brightening up the room. I flip through each book and once I have a few chosen, carry it to my room for my monthly reading. I leave it on the table and in line of sight so they can grab my attention when I want to pick up a new book.**
I am very excited for my July TBR. I feel like summer is a great time for all of these books and for all the ones I’m most excited for. I put all of my most anticipated reads on my TBR and can’t wait to dive in.
- Take Me Home Tonight by Morgan Matson
This will actually be a reread for me which is a rare occurrence, but I want to fully annotate a copy of this book. It follows two theater girls Kat and Stevie who decide to spend the night in New York City for Stevie’s birthday. Unfortunately, problems start as soon as they’re off the train like broken phones and dogs they have to look after. I love Morgan Matson and can’t wait to give this another read.
- Carving Shadows Into Gold by Brigid Kemmerer
The first book in this series, Forging Silver Into Stars, was my last read of last year. I enjoyed being back in the world and seeing some of my favorite characters. It follows three characters: a blacksmith, a baker, and the king’s courier. I liked seeing each of their perspectives and adored seeing Harper and Rhen in small snippets.
- Onyx Storm by Rebecca Yarros
War college, dragons, and a lot of other elements I’ve mentioned several times before that have made this series popular. I really enjoyed the first two books and can’t wait to see what happens in this new installment. I love the action in these books and always have a great time reading.
- Nothing Like the Movies by Lynn Painter
Better Than the Movies is probably one of my all-time favorite books, so I have been looking forward to getting to this sequel. I believe it follows Wes and Liz in college, but I haven’t looked much into it. I love Lynn Painter’s writing and am very excited to see what happens in this one.
- Secrets So Deep by Ginny Myers Sain
I read a book by this author a few years ago, Dark and Shallow Lies, and loved it. It was a horror/mystery with fantasy elements and I’ve learned that I really love books like that. This is another one that is horror with fantasy elements following a girl whose mother drowned several years prior and finally goes back to the town it happened in. I am very excited to try another book by this author after loving the other one.
I’m spending the month hoping to read a lot of anticipated books. I am really looking forward to all the books on this TBR and really hope I can get to all of them. I’ve been doing pretty well with my June TBR, so hopefully the same goes for the July one.
xoxo,
Just another reader
