**I scoop some fresh honey from the jar and slowly mix it into my tea. The beekeeper a few miles away sells it local, so I always make sure to buy some when I run low. I take my tea outside and hear the bees buzzing around some flowers in the lawn. I take out my book and sit in the grass to read and drink my tea.**
We all have those book covers that stand out to us. I know people say to not judge a book by its cover, but why make them so nice then? That makes you wonder what the best book covers are, so I have compiled a list of some of my personal favorites.

- Splintered by A.G. Howard
Contrary to popular opinion, I actually like some books with people on the cover and this is one of them. I read this book a while ago and have always liked the cover for this one. The colors on this book just pop out and really draw you in.
- Belladonna by Adalyn Grace
While I wasn’t a big fan of this book, I do like the cover. It’s very gothic and I love the purples and florals that decorate the cover. The UK covers for book 3, Wisteria, and the novella, Holly, are also some of my favorites. I love the fox and the bunny illustrations and the colors complement each other.
- House of Hollow by Krystal Sutherland
This one is kind of like Belladonna with a face and flowers. I love the flowers on the cover of this one. They are kind of bright but a bit muted as well. The little details like the bugs and blood add so much to the cover.
- Spellbound Lies by Catherine Downen
This is a silhouette cover of the two main characters with a purple and black theme. I have the hardcover of this book and it has a quote on the back. Then, on the naked hardback there are illustrations on the front and back and a quote. The naked hardback is also done in what looks like chalk drawings so it looks really cool. All of it together just made it a really nice cover design.
- Sun to Me by Cleopatra Margot
This book has a really pretty illustrated cover of the main couple that looks so nice! It is very aesthetic and has a beautiful sunset in the back. I also love the book stack and the hanging plant. They add so much to the cover.
- Take Me Home Tonight by Morgan Matson (UK edition)
This was her first book without real people on the cover so it was weird to see what looked like a model of the two characters and New York. But the UK edition looks so cool! It has the two main girls in New York. I love the colors on this one and the cover really represents the book with the cityscape and the girls in nice clothes ready to take a bow since they’re in theater. This is probably my favorite cover of the book.
- White Smoke by Tiffany D. Jackson
Last but not least, we have White Smoke. There’s definitely a common theme of purple covers in this list, but they always look great! I love the purple smoke on the cover and how the main character fades into the haunted house. The thin font somehow goes along with the cover as well.

There are so many amazing book covers out there and these are just a handful of my favorites. I think the common themes here are that I actually like people on the covers of books and when purple is a main color. There are probably so many others, but I just love appreciating a nice cover. What are some of your favorites?
