**As the days grows shorter and the summer draws to an end, I find myself with less time in the day. I try and absorb the last glimpses of summer but find it slipping through my fingers like sand in an hourglass. If only we could stretch on the days and keep summer around for a little while longer.**

Okay, before we get into a new posting schedule, let’s discuss my September TBR first. I have gotten a bit busy so my posting schedule has been a bit off the past week, but I decided to just post this today instead of waiting until Friday. So first, the TBR.

  • Kristy’s Great Idea by Ann M. Martin

I actually just bought this book at a used bookstore last month because I, for some reason, really wanted to try the Babysitter’s Club series. All I know about this book is based on the name of the series: that it follows a group of girls who start a babysitting club. I’ve actually never read this and really wanted to give it a try. Plus, I have a post idea that this book would be used for which I hope to post in September. I’m actually really excited for this one and think I’m going to enjoy it.

  • A Queen of Ice by Elise Kova

This is the fifth and final book in the Trial of Sorcerers series which is a fantasy series with elemental magic and trials. I really liked the first one and have finally made it to the last book in the series. I am very intrigued to see what happens and how the series wraps up. I have been enjoying my time with these books and can’t wait to read this one.

  • Nothing Like the Movies by Lynn Painter

This is the sequel to Better Than the Movies, which became an all-time favorite when I read it back in 2023. The first book follows Liz Buxbaum who loves rom-coms and is trying to get her own rom-com worthy romance with the help of her next-door nemesis, Wes Bennett. I loved that book and the characters and can’t wait to read this one. I think it follows them in college, but I love these two so much as well as Lynn Painter’s writing, so I’m sure the book will be great.

  • The Startup Squad by Brian Weisfeld

I actually found this book quite recently, but it seems like such a cute book! I believe it follows a group of kids who start their own business. This is a middle grade book which I feel like I have been enjoying lately. I hope to get this book from the library next month because it seems like it could be really good.

  • Daughter of No Worlds by Carissa Broadbent

One of my biggest disappointments in life is not getting book 2 in this series before it went out of print. Have I read book 1? No, but I hope to next month! This one follows a girl with magic who finally is able to buy her freedom but gets dragged into a war that is brewing. I have heard great things about this book and am really interested to see what I think.

  • Rule of Wolves by Leigh Bardugo

I don’t know if I will get to this, but I wanted to put it on this TBR as extra motivation. I like Leigh Bardugo’s books, but I thought King of Scars was just okay so I have been kind of avoiding this one. This is a duology that follows characters from previous Grishaverse books. I kind of just want to get through this one. I think once I start I’ll enjoy it, but it’s a bit of an intimidating read.

I hope to get to all of these books in September. Some of them are short, so I am sure I can get to most. Now for my posting schedule, when I first started my blog last May, I decided to post every Monday and Friday, but I think for the foreseeable future I would like to try posting only one day a week, on Fridays. The goal for these posts is to have a TBR and a review each month, and two to three other posts like I would normally do. I also plan to keep my wrap-ups, but will post those as an additional post, which will be on the first Monday of the month. I’m going to give that a try and see what works best (especially because I may be in a bit of a reading slump). So we will be back on Friday for another post, and Monday for my August wrap-up. See you then!

xoxo,
