**I sit under the willow tree and the wispy leaves block the sun fighting to make its way into my eyes. I turn each crinkled page of my leather bound novel and enjoy the way the scenery enhances the reading experience. I envision myself in the world I read of and look out into the world and see the story where I sit. After a few hours of reading, I make the long trek back home.**

There are a TON of books I want to read in July. June has actually been a pretty full reading month for me so I’m hoping to get a bit more reading in before the month ends, and I’m hoping this continues over the next few months. I have been extra motivated due to some summer reading bingo boards so my reading has increased a lot the past few weeks. I’m still only going to discuss five books though since I don’t know what I’m in the mood for outside of these.

  • Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid

This is actually a book I just ordered that should be coming soon. I have wanted to read it since it came out and to be honest, it’s mainly a cover buy. I absolutely adore the cover art of this one. I think it takes place in the 80s and follows a woman working for NASA and going on a space mission. I’ve only read one other TJR book, Forever Interrupted, which was just okay, so I’m interested to see how this one will be. It definitely seems like a summer read.

  • The Infinity Between Us by N.S. Perkins

I have wanted to read this one for several years now so I finally ordered it with Atmosphere. This one is a second-chance romance I believe that is indie-published and gained some hype online a few years back. The cover screams summer and I am trying to soak in all the summer books before the season is over.

  • Love Radio by Ebony LaDelle

This is another book I have wanted to read for years now but never got to. This is a ya romance following a boy who has a radio show where he gives love advice and a girl focused on going to college to be a writer. This just seems like such a cute story so I’m excited to finally give it a read. I ended up grabbing a few books at the library recently, so this one as well as the next two are all library picks.

  • Summer Days and Summer Nights edited by Stephanie Perkins

This one is a summery anthology that I saw online because my bingo board required a collection of short stories. This one was the one that appealed to me the most, partly for the summer-themed cover and because Leigh Bardugo had a short story in here which was an added bonus. I honestly didn’t look into this at all but I’m curious to see how my first anthology will be.

  • Hollow by Shannon Watters, Branden Boyer-White; illustrated by Berenice Nelle

I also needed a graphic novel and this was one of the ones that caught my eye while browsing at the library. I honestly don’t really know anything about this one either, but it seems like a Sleepy Hollow/Headless Horseman type graphic novel. I thought the art seemed pretty cool and decided to pick it up. I’m not much of a graphic novel person so I’m interested in trying a few sometimes to find a new one I’ll like.

There are so many books I could read for July, and if it’s anything like my June reading, I’ll get through a decent amount of books. I am excited to see what books I’ll be able to get to and which ones I will like.

xoxo,

Just another reader
